Hello,

My name is Stephan Bourget, and I am a physicist from Quebec, Canada. My main language is French, so please forgive my orthographic or grammatical errors as I write in my second language.

I'm working on a project I want to realize in a few years. This is still a matter of thought, but I'm looking for a few people who'd share the same vision, and with whom I could develop a plan of action.

I want to develop a research center where all scientists working or wanting to work on alternative, offstream theories could do so freely with all the support and respect they deserve, and without the pressure of outside financing and main publications' acceptance. Fields of research might include exobiology, exoarcheology, scientific creationism, cosmology, Tesla experiments, UFO  and crop circle phenomena, etc.

Research in alternative theories is a main component of progress, either by making main theories stronger if they are right, or by bringing scientific revolution if they are false.

Rather than explaining my whole idea here, send an email to science@wcloffice.com if you want to learn about it. You will then receive details.

What I'd like to do is to initiate the project with a few partners, and my plan is to involve the community of all those open-minded people around the world who want to support free science, so we can all contribute to this project and help create this Research Center over time.

However, alone I won't go very far. And that's why I posted here. I've thought that some of you may share my vision and help me structure all this. I'm really passionate about that and I've dreamed of this project for quite a time now. Do you want to partner with me on this?

Once again, send an email to science@wcloffice.com for details.

Thanks a lot for your time,

Stephan

I'm in Cool

I'm no scientist yet, but I'm at the final level of this school now and going to university within a year (want to study Archeology).

My name is Stefan Kruithof and I'm 17 years old, as I said : no scientist yet, but will be in a few years. (My high school diploma gives me instant acces to University, Dutch school system is probably different from yours).

I shall write to that adress immediately, thank you for posting here!

Dear Stephan,

Wouldn't you be interested to work together with the AAS RA www.legendarytimes.com ) ? The AAS needs as many motivated scientists - and of course also laymen - as only possible...after all, the international research association of the AAS is still young and needs to grow.
I personally think it is most fruitful if all the people interested in Paleo-SETI work together and join forces, don't you think? The more talented people the AAS gets, the better. In the end everybody enjoys the benefits of a growing network, especially in terms of international(!) scientific Paleo-SETI research. One learns more if various experts (such as you) with specific knowledge and skills join from different fields and countries. Wouldn't it be sad to have several projects run next to each other?

kind regards,

Gaby Lächeln

Gaby; his ideas go beyond PaleoSETI...it's about áll alternative theories. Just to give them a chance to do research, PaleoSETI being only one of the many alternatives.

I think that if we succeed in putting together a research community et al, we would definately see the two organisations - Stephan Bourget's plan and the AASRA - working together.

I really hope we can build something out of this...only the money is always the problem!

Hey Gaby,

I think Stefan's comments appropriately answered your question. Paleo-SETI is a component of the project, an alternative theory we want to support along with other alternative theories in a variety of fields of research.

Our aim is to provide the environment for making serious research in any field, whatever the theory is, as long as it abides by scientific methodological standards. It's a way to counteract the status quo, the conservatism, the close-mindness, that can be so harmful to science. It's a way to encourage questioning of main stream theories, and consideration for alternative ones.

Our aim is also to break as much as possible the influence of politico-economic constraints on scientists' choices of research subjects. We want to provide for scientists an alternative funding source for their research, which will have none to say about research matters, so that scientists will preserve freedom of research.

That's why we need all the support we can get from scientists, independent researchers and the Internet community. As small as the contribution may be (in its generic sense, I'm not talking financially as I'm not asking for any), it will be helpful.

I'm sure the AAS RA is a wonderful organization and I'm looking to deepen our relationship in the future. I'm sure we'll find a way to work together and I'll be glad to help you in any way I can, would it be by financing your team's individual projects or your organization directly.

Money and peers' consideration are parts of what I feel stop many scientists from making the research they really care about when it is tagged unorthodox, and that's what we want to address. We will create the system for independent self-funding allowing free research. At first, we will support individual scientists and your organization can be very complementary for those interested in Paleo-SETI. We can work hand in hand in this regard.

Ultimately, I expect to develop a physical research center as well, which will be useful for experimental research among other things, but we will be glad to develop connections with other serious organizations like yours in a variety of fields.

If you wish, I'll be glad to count you on our mastermind team at the RCOAT project. We can expand on our future relationship there. You're welcome to visit us anytime at science.bourget-marketing-int ernational.com  (temporary URL).
