Alien vs. Predator Lächeln

* Battlefield Earth (2000)
Almost Sitchin's story. Got bad critics by organized religious fanatics.

* Sumuru (2003), German title "Planet der Frauen"
Colony of astronauts lost its technology after several generations being stranded on another planet. Ancient technical devices become magic. Just a B-movie, not that bad and with interesting AA story.

* "Planet of the Apes" remake by Tim Burton
Maybe even more "Ancient Astronauts" references than the original.For example one scene at the "forbidden site" where the "god" comes down to Earth illuminated in glittering light.

* Things To Come (1936)
Technology and culture is lost on Earth after the war and humans get it back from a sojourning group of very advanced people. Very advanced special effects for a 1936 movie.

* Logan's Run (1976)
Rebels rediscover their ancient culture after having been quarantained by fascist society rules. Even with not that many AA references a must see for AASRA members.

* some Star Trek Voyager and Next Generation episodes

* maybe also some Dr.Who episodes, but I haven't watched any than "Pyramids of Mars" which has only minor references

I agree. It wasn't a GOOD movie but it wasn't that BAD either. Some people said it was the worst movie ever made... but I can think of a lot of movies, and mostly summer blockbuster-types, which were 10x as bad.

I added the following titles
Aliens vs Predator
Battlefield Earth
Sumuru
Planet of the Apes (2001)
Things to Come
Logon's Run

Holger please specify the episodes of the Star Trek and Dr Who, I will add them to the list.

I found and added titles

Alien (Ripley's crew find ancient spaceship)
The Thing (John Carpenter, The Thing in his spaceship, arrived at Earth 100000 years ago !)
The Tripods (BBC series , Mankind is controlled by alien race in near future)
Total Recall (Humans find an old alien reactor)

I do not remember the episodes' names, maybe there are some Trekkies here who do? Mostly there were only short scenes of the whole episode with AA-reference, like the one in the holodeck when one of the virtual, but intelligent, holodeck-characters is trying to repeat the "magic spells to invoke a spiritual device" (the computer control column). Then there is the Star Trek movie, I guess it's "The Wrath of Khan" where a technical advanced person is using his technology to play god in front of another race. In another Star Trek movie "First Contact", a native Earthling with 1950th technology (thrown back in culture by 3rd world war) is doing "Henoch's journey" on the Enterprise, learning there about their current technology and later brought back to Earth. There is also a Star Trek Voyager episode, where the crew is using "magic technology" in a theater play on a low-tech planet.

The Dr.Who episode "Pyramids of Mars" is featuring the Egyptian gods Horus and Seth as aliens from the Osirian race, who ruled ancient Egypt Earthlings using their technology. However, that part of the story is only explained by a short dialogue.
