I posted the following on the black board of LegendaryTimes , not sure if it will get through. It is a response to the poll question, about how many visits the Gods have made...what do you think? As I see many different votes to the current poll ("How many times have ETI expeditions visited our planet since Earth's existence?") I'd like to share some thoughts on the various options. 1 time; when I first started being interested in PaleoSETI I used to think this was the correct answer : they only visited once. Right now I'm not sure. Many indications fall into the same age period, such as Nazca, Ezekiel and Henoch...but there are also quite some indications which are a lot older. The different 'waves' of indications throughout time seem to suggest that the Gods visited several times, and stayed for quite a while. In my opinion the latest of these periods would be a visit between 800 b.C. and 200 a.D. I think this is a subject which has had hardly any serious research, or is there research that I don't know of? The conclusion which I have reached so far, - without getting really deep into it -, is that they visited a long time ago for the first time. Probably something like 10.000 years ago, in the early Stone Age. We have to keep in mind that there are large problems with travelling through space, with the largest being distance. Other options, such as 'up to 200 times', would be very possible íf the 'Gods' had a way to travel very fast through space and reach Earth in only a week or much shorter than that. What are your thoughts and why? What did you vote? |

I believe they have been visiting as many times as they can, even today with all the UFO sightings around the world one has to wonder what they are up to, checking up on a old As for space travel i believe that the more a race advances the more there technology does, i was reading some where about how the governments are still in contact with the aliens and that 2 light years takes 1h. |

"As often as they could" Yes...I think so too, but the whole problem is...how often cóuld they? "2 light years take 1 hour" Hmmm...this seems to be a quite random number. Most physicists agree that it is not possible to travel faster than light. The theory which Einstein proposed is valid of course, at least as far as I understand it - it really says that we can't go faster than light. Nevertheless, even 2 light years in 1 hour would leave looong journeys! |

I think the that the goverments are in contact with a kind of iteligence in the space but not ouer goverment( not Germany, Swizerland,Netherlands,Frensh). And that the most scintist say that it is unposible to fly faster as the light, i would say that they said abaout 100 years ago ( abaut 1900) that it is unposible to fly with things witch are hevyer than air. Do you think it still too? They don´t think it still and we fly with airplanes wich are havyer than air |

No-one ever said it was impossible for something heavier than air to fly - birds have existed way longer than mankind. We really can't go faster than light, it is a simple result of Einstein's famous law E=MC2. If you understand even a little of it, it will be clear that we truly can never go faster than light. But...the possibilities for wormholes and warp drives are wide open. Technically neither would be faster than light. |

Einstein's E=MC2 is a theory, sooner or later there will be a new theory to replace it, |

Science replaces and improves theories yes, but don't think they'll just throw Einstein away. Look at the theory of molecules for example, it has been around for more than 2000 years before it was prooven to be right! Einstein has long been prooven to be right. It's unfortunate, but we will never be able to travel faster than light in the normal way (like a superfast rocket). Of course, as I said before, possibilities like wormholes and warp drive are wide open. |

In short : Einstein says gravity has an influence on light because he explains gravity as a force which distorts space-time. Space-time is altered, changed in shape by gravity. According to Einstein our Earth tries to fly in a straight line (so not circles around the sun) and it actually does! But because space-time is distorted in the direction of a fourth dimension we are 'trapped' in circles around the sun. Einsteins theory on gravity is not the same as his theory on time and the speed of light though... |
