Whenever I read books (especially Daniken) they often quote from certain texts, most notibly the Epic of Gilgamesh, I have and urge to go throught the whole thing in order to see what it all is about and how much ancient technology actually can be found within it.

Also looking for anything interresting including the "Mahabaratra" or any translations of ancient texts which may contain interresting stuff.

Vielen dank!

www.forum.jaas.de
and a refernce to same topic in german forum is there also, but to make it easier for u, the most important link is

www.philosophy.ru
I spent some (obiously lots of) time to find it online.

Have nice time while reading it.

Don't waste your time with condensed versions of the original texts as you won't find the most interesting parts there!

Go to the John B. Hare's online or CD-Version of the complete english Ganguli translation of the Mahabharata:
www.sacred-texts.com

Not everybody has 50 $ just for first contacts to the topic. I think the links I posted are good enough to get some impressions of what u will find in the texts. I wouldn't call it "wasted time". But thx for the link, because now I can buy the full version (as soon as I have enough money for it Zwinkern ).

Hallo Thomas,
the complete CD-ROM is also available for online reading on the URL above.
John only asks you to buy the CD if possible, to support further work and the costs for his webserver.

Note, that the current version does not include the complete Mahabharata, as the online version does, only the next CD-version in winter 2004 will do!

The reason for my words "wasted time" was a discussion we had about 3 years ago on the former official AAS forum, about some parts of the original Mahabharata, which did not appear in some abbreviated book versions some well known "sceptic" owned in his (famous) home library. And you might guessed it already, these missing parts are just the most interesting about flying vehicles and modern weapons like A2A missiles.

Maybe some AAS-officials are reading this forum, too:
What about a cooperation work with the author of sacred-texts.com for the information area in the Myster Park? For example showing the most interesting parts of the ancient texts in full context, so the intelligent reader can see the strangeness of the technical descriptions themselves.
