Meeting
I'll write people later on, would not mind to do that at all So that will be taken care off. I shall also ask some people in my group of friends to come, there are several people interested in the subject such as my girlfriend.

We definately need a program...something cool to do.

Interlaken  visit

1) Costs
Congress itself -> 104 euro's
Hotel stay ->

2) Staying the nights
If I can manage the money and have transportation then I'll arrange to stay at that youthhotel for a few nights.

3) Getting there
Okay this is my biggest problem. I'm 17, not allowed to drive and don't even have a car.
The only way for me to get there would be to drive along with you and your friends; but you weren't sure if there was still space in the car.

What I need to know from you now
1) Can I drive with you to Interlaken  and back?
2) How many and which days are you staying; I'll need to arrange my hotel for those days?

And if both of these are suitable then we'll need to call about where we meet (thursday?) in Maastricht, need to let my parents know where they need to pick me up (sunday?), and I will need to arrange a hotel for (three nights?).

I'm afraid that the hotel cost will be too much though.

It get so quiet abaut the meeting in Holland

I thing we schould set a rought termine for it, becaue then we can better plan and I can said when it is then they can plan they timetable. And it gets more concrete.
It schould not be a exact termine but it schuld gets a termine. But wehn it gets in the next time no termine we forgt it with a large probability.

I thindg the termine schoud be after the Congress .

sorry for not answering earlier...my friends are not coming (they can't miss classes), so I won't travel by car but by train (I will be leaving on october 1st). However, I contacted Uli Dopatka, one of the organizers of the congress. He KNOWS some peoiple from the Netherlands DRIVING to the congress. So: please send an e-mail to dopatka@aas-fg.org and he will provide you with some names and eMails...

We just need more people. A small meeting would be cool, but not worth the long journey for many So the problem is; either a real happening with loads of people coming (what happening, what people?) ór a small meeting (not worth going to?).

We need to get some more activity in the english forum I think...but in any case it should be interesting to know how many Dutch people or international people might want to come to a meeting in the Netherlands (by sending some emails maybe?)...

I could look for a place in Maastricht...I think Maastricht would be a good city, it is bordering to Belgium and Germany is famous because of its EU treaty, the perfect place for an international event I would say!

We would need a lot of advertising though...so the event certainly would not take place before the next year...I will think about something...some possible guest speakers etc.

I am happy about your motivation to organize something, that is how it starts!

Ok, we'll organise a meeting!
First we need to know; how many people are interested? Where are they from, what are they prepared to pay for the trip and what do they expect from a meeting (what kind of meeting do they want)?
If we want to know all these things, we need to inform ourselves... but how? What are the possibilities on the site / forum? How do we get people informed and enthousiastic?

Could we get Dopatka there? He's a busy man, but full of enthousiasm always...

I think we should have a meeting both in a professional looking atmosphere (a libary, meeting hall) and in a bar / cafe later on. To have both Ancient Astronaut and a friendly meeting covered.
