JAAS International Meeting
Yesterday the first international JAAS meeting was held at the University of Maastricht. Anyone who visited it knows what I mean when I say : "IT WAS COOL!". Ueli (Ulrich Dopatka) held a very interesting lecture about PaleoSETI and SETI. Among the topics he talked about were the habitable zone of a galaxy and solar system, the search for extraterrestrial artifacts outside Earth, the expansion of civilizations into space, evolution and also a few indications that extraterrestrials may have been here in our past.

Maastricht, April 23rd, 2004: This will be the first time ever that an international(!) A.A.S. student researchers meeting takes place! Ulrich Dopatka and bio-astronomer Stefan Thiesen hold lectures on the topic “SETI & Science” (in English language!). The entrance is free and fun is guaranteed! The German edition of the magazine "Legendary Times" ("Sagenhafte Zeiten") is constantly looking for Paleo-SETI articles from INTERNATIONAL student researchers! The magazine devotes one page exclusively to its younger audience and YOU now get the chance to spread your ideas and thoughts further than just within your own national borders. The editors of “Sagenhafte Zeiten” would be thrilled to receive articles from young people from all around the world!!! Your article should not be longer than 600 words (preferably shorter) and should deal with any kind of topic related to Paleo-SETI research. [read more......]
Stefan Ehrlich from Brotterode (a small town in Germany) became number 100, listed on the AAS RA Student Researchers Page member list (www.jaas.de). He will receive a share of the Mysteries of the World Theme Park company with some handwritten personal remarks of Erich von Däniken. Hint: 4th / 5th October 2003... great World conference of the AAS RA in Interlaken, Switzerland... especially interesting for AAS RA Student Researchers.
